~ CLOTHING ~
Clothing is such an important part of this experience. As a photographer, I like to keep the focus on the subject; therefore, simple clothing choices are best for creating timeless portraits. I suggest loose fitting solid colors, avoiding busy patterns or logos/words. For children; jeans, overalls, sun dresses & khakis are all classics. Please, no bold logos or cartoon characters on clothing as I want to keep the focus on your faces and not your clothing. Q. Who owns the rights to my pictures? A. The photographer. A photograph is an artistic vision. Professional photographers are hired for their vision and the way they specifically capture their clients. Your photographer owns all rights to the images. Photographs are protected by federal copyright laws. Any prints or digital files that you wish to have from your portrait session must be purchased through your photographer. Q. Will my professional photographer retouch my pictures? A. Yes, a minimal amount of retouching is included. Many professional photographers will do more extensive retouching for a fee. This is a good question to ask any portrait photographer before booking a session if you are looking for extensive retouching. Q. How far in advance should I book my session? A. This varies from month to month. It is advisable to schedule your session at least 2-4 weeks in advance during non-holiday seasons and up to 3 months in advance for major holidays.
